I just looked out my window to enjoy this beautiful Spring day. The sun is shining, and the grass is green. I also have two red birds hopping around the yard. They are happily eating grass seed and what ever treasures they might find beneath it.
It was during this scene that the Lord reminded me of his Word: “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet their heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” (Matt. 6:26)
I really wasn’t conscious of having any worry. But I learned a long time ago, the Lord knows even the hidden things in my life. So, I must consider that passage of scripture a moment longer: “Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?” (v. 27).
As I continue to read, I find a statement that really takes me to the heart of the matter, when Jesus declares: “Oh you of little faith” (v. 30).What a painful thing to hear, especially when we’re about to celebrate Easter, or what most Christians call Resurrection Day. So I must spend this day in a spirit of thanksgiving. And I pray, Dear Friend, you will do the same.
Be Blessed, Donna
