There is something exciting about the beginning of a new year. Some of us consider resolutions to improve our health, especially plans to lose weight. Others hope for a brighter future with their finances, perhaps a new job or college.
Unfortunately, the first day of a new year doesn’t guarantee change. If we continue to make the same mistakes, this next year will find us walking down the same rocky road of hardship and sorrow.
Before you make any life-changing decisions, you might begin the day with a time of prayer and reflection. There is an answer for a better tomorrow, but first determine if you are walking on the right path.
For those of us who believe in God, our Creator, we remember He has a divine purpose for each life: “‘For I know the plans I have for you’, declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
May we all find comfort in this promise.
Be Blessed, Donna
