The calendar on the wall reminds me it’s still January, with another eight weeks until Easter. But outside my window, I see sunshine and blue skies. Our Weatherman reports temperatures up to 70 degrees for the next two days. Surely, it must be Spring!
The promise of fair skies and warmer temperatures brings restlessness, a need to be outside; planting seeds in our garden. It brings hope of better things to come.
Do you ever feel you are destined to remain in a winter season? I’m sure we have all known times when we feel barren, or unproductive; but God’s Word reminds us to have hope. “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1).
So, if you feel trapped in the midst of winter, enjoy the brief moments of sunshine. It is a gift from God.
Be Blessed, Donna
