The Desires of Your Heart

Have you ever looked back on life, to remember what you wanted most?

In a few days, I will celebrate 49 years of marriage. Through those years, I have known good times and bad; a life of need, and times of plenty. During all that time, I can testify of God’s goodness.

There were years of prayer: interceding for lost loved ones, or praying for personal goals. Each prayer taught me patience. I learned to “Trust in the Lord, and do good” (Psalms 37). In time, I  learned the “desires of my heart” came quicker if they aligned with God’s Word.

What if your child asked for something which you knew would bring them harm?  I have learned our Heavenly Father does exactly the same. So, if we trust in the Lord to do what is best, I have learned to expect a positive answer.

I pray you will also learn to “wait on the Lord” for your prayers. After 49 years, He has never let me down.

Until next time, I pray you will be blessed, Donna.
