How many of us face needs, or desires, which seem impossible ?
I’m sure most of you can remember a time when you wanted something to the point of desperation. At my age, I could write a book on the times I asked the Lord for something, even though it seemed impossible.
But what if the Lord directed you to do something? This time, it is God who is asking the question. I believe we can agree, life often presents complications. Especially, when we make a commitment to follow the Lord.
Many of us have a long list of excuses: family, finances, health issues, even our age (too young or too old). But God’s Word tells us: “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” (Luke 1:37) Can you take a moment to let that sink in? He said “nothing”.
It has taken me a life-time to let that truth become a reality. We usually try to help God out, to work it out our way, with our own strength. I’m often reminded of Sarah, when Abraham told her about God’s promise for a son. She had excuses; not only her age, but the fact that she had never been able to have a child. For those of us who know the story, I’m sure we realize the lasting effects of her decision.
I challenge you. Try to have faith in God, even with those things which seem impossible. When you take that step…The Lord will show up and prove to you, His Word is true. “Nothing shall be impossible.”
Be Blessed, Donna
